Collector cars do get driven, in fact it's part of what's required to keep the car operating fully. Besides bringing the car up to operating temp. running the a/c and heater (if so equipped) they also get driven as needed. Even the Honda Collection Hall in Japan drives their cars, check out the Youtube videos to see their motorcycles and cars being excercised on a special track just outside the hall.
