PM me the Vin jzhu625. It's very possible the title has been "washed" to remove the salvage title status of the state in which it occurred. Try a Google search of the Vin and see if the original post regarding the car comes up.

This vehicle has been involved in an accident like EVERY s2000 in america. However it is not salvage. It is a clean title vehicle. Whoever is posting that this vehicle is salvage is clearly posting false information. I have a clean and clear title to prove this vehicle is NOT salvage. No where on the CARFAX says the vehicle is salvage. It was in a wreck and it was fixed. The wreck was not deemed "salvage" by an insurance company. So i am not sure who on this thread has the right to declare of it is salvage when it is not. Unless you work for an insurance company PLEASE get your facts straightened out.

"What is a salvage-title car?
When a car has been in an accident, stolen or weather-damaged and repairs will cost MORE than the vehicle is worth, the car insurance company will total it and take possession. Insurers then sell these cars at auction to salvage yards or rebuilders. The car will be issued a salvage title to warn future buyers that an insurance company has declared the car a total loss.

Most states have laws that set a threshold on the amount of damage needed to declare a car totaled, usually between 51 percent and 80 percent of the car's actual cash value."

I believe we spoke and re-call my memory this car was posted on Craigslist approx 1-2 months ago, seller was from MD. i was advised that the son "owner" passed away and the mom trying to unload the car. a gentleman was the main key to contact. after i pointed out the car have a salvaged title. the ads disappeared.

I believe TRIPLEZMOTORS the above link will explain our prior discussions on the CR in question. As a means of explanation, we take very seriously listing a CR as salvage because we care very deeply for each and every one of the 699 made. We started this listing to document the extent of the damage for ourselves and anyone else who might be interested in a CR. Unless the specific car is listed as salvage by a reputable auction site ,IAAL and Copart being the two biggest, we don't list the car on our site. The only exception is first hand knowledge where a CR member has seen the car in person or through another site.

Being a car dealer you should know that CarFax will only show reported insurance claims. So it might be true the Carfax is clean, but there can always be more to the story. If you research the process of "Title Washing" you will find the means and method used to a "clean title". I'm not saying this happened, but it does and it has been used for years to remove a once salvaged (branded) title. Also, just so you are aware there are plenty of undamaged clear title S2000's in the world.
