Tire / wheel size for Auto X track days??
So I'm the proud new owner of a CR! Love the car and already scheduled my first track day.
could someone comment on the way the car handles with the stock tire/ wheel size vs a different size or square setup? Who knows how wide a tire can we run on stock suspension without pulling the fenders? Thanks!

255's work in a sq. set up, there might be some minor rubbing from the inside tire on the fender liner on full suspension compression/hard turns. This was at stock ride height with Enkei PF01 wheels I believe at +56 offset. The car was basically more neutral with reduced understeer at the limits, I don't recall the alignments spec's. right off the top of my head. The stock CR handles very well with the stock wheels and tires, but you can squeeze a 225 front on and stay with the 255 rears too.

I highly recommend 255/40/17 on all 4 corners. The car handles so much nicer on a square set-up. The turn in is immediate! Be careful not to over drive the cars when you have so much grip available. I run 17x9+55's from 949 racing. Any 17x9 +55 to 63 will work well.

Another one on the square setup. This car is fun stock. It is AMAZINGLY fun on 255's As mentioned, you will need to roll the front fenders a bit if you lower at all. Maybe stock, but do not know as I have always had it set of for STR When I had the wide wheels on it.
17x9 with at least +55 offset is what you want all the way around. So RPF1's, while light and nice looking, are useless for an STR setup. More affordable side (What I an a good number of people run) are the TR Motorsports wheels. Tirerack has some good deals on the C3's usually. Lighter would be the 6ULR's if you can find some, but will cost you more most likely.
I already had a big front bar on the front from running B-Street one season, but definitely opt for one if you are running square, as you put even more grip on the front. This is more important on an AP1 like mine, but likely the same for the CR. And by big bar, I am referring to bars like the Moddiction (Saner copy), Gendron, etc.
With the car lowered and square, you want the front camber to be in a range where it misses the fender and also does not rub the controll arm. But, I have never had an issue and am running max stock camber, which is about -2.6 degrees at my ride height.
Check out the STR threads, there is a lot of good info there on setups like these.
