Default Thoughts of alarm installation on a CR?

I've been kicking around the thought of having an alarm installed in my CR. I was curious as to what are everyone's thoughts on this. I live in South Florida and my car does sleep in side 9/10. At times I'll take her out to stretch her legs and I have no other option but to park the vehicle in the distance where I can't keep an eye on her. The alarm I've always had installed on my previous cars was the Clifford G5 770 w/ blakjack & proxmity.

Another thing I've also been tossing around is the "ceramic coating" are their any long term effects to this procedure, pros and cons?!

Viper makes a nice alarm that can be used on manual transmission cars. It also has gps tracking. I also have multiple monitoring systems around my car when it's parked so if it or anything around it moves, I'm immediately notified. I don't have a real issue of people joy riding in my car (yet), but if the car moves, I'd know that as well

Although i dont have a CR, my GPW is equipped with the CLifford G5 w/blk jx and proixmity as well as tilt omni sensor... to me this is a standard for any car... Im in Miami and used JR Electronics to do install... but there is a couple other places i trust...

I used to have alarm on my first s2000. Although I liked some feature, I did not like the way it had to slice wires as well as make a hole for LED lights and etc. Whatever you install, should consider not to make hole in any interior panel of CR. It may not be easy to replace later on.

I had a Viper with proximity sensor and backup battery on my previous S. The installer stuffed the LED down in a crack near the windshield so they didn't drill any holes. Even if they did alarm should be a permanent mod anyway for this car. LoJack is my backup system which is currently on this car too. Viper soon to come.

The CR has a perfect spot for the LED. There's blank space where the soft-top switch normally goes. I'm sure buying a replacement cap is fairly inexpensive. Although I wouldn't reject having an alarm, just because you don't like the having a hole for the LED.
