S2000 CR Club Racer Edition CR stands for "club racer," conjuring up the good old days when guys drove their sports cars to the track, raced them, and then, if the racing gods were smiling, drove them home again

Default What are those 2 triangular pieces in my trunk?

I've had my CR a little over 3 weeks, and it's my first S2k. Got it from a used cars dealership. I have these 2 triangular plastic pieces in my trunk that I don't know where they are supposed to bolt to. I first thought they are the side strakes but they just don't fit there Each piece has a screw and a few tabs. I know I'm gonna feel real dumb once somebody points out to me where they should go, but I need closure to this mystery. They are color matched with the whole car, so I know they belong somewhere on the exterior of the car. Help me out please fellas. I can take some pix if that helps.

They go over the hardtop latches on either side when you go topless

Welcome to the forum

Yes they are for when your hardtop is off.

Please ad your car to the CR owner's roll call stickied at the top of the forum

Anyone find a good place to put these without getting scratched when not in use? I wrap them up in my "NOAH interior top down cover" and keep them in my spare tire space.

I couldn't stand the thought of mine rolling around in the trunk, so I wrapped them in plastic and stored mine inside my shop. They are still handy if I need them.

I found a card board box that fit in the spare tire well, and stuffed them in there, along with some misc stuff I have. Of course I left wrapped in the bubble wrap
