Worth to buy a s2000 CR tracked
hello everyone
im new here I want to buy s2k CR and this one I found for clean title $34999 85k miles but he tracked it b4 and put back to stock b4 he had those set up with no big brakes for track, https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.s2k...fec8b186e.jpeg do you think its worth it |
Depends on your intended use to some extent. CRs in this price range seem to be original and not buggered with rolled fenders and suspension mods. Those without AC make poor warm weather sports cars. The CR is either hardtop or open, no convertible roof.

Is it worth it to you? That is the real question. What are your plans for the car? Do you want a CR for driving, enjoying, and tracking? Or do you want to own a CR as a collectible?

Thanks u guys , I do understand the Cr doesn’t have the convertible part , I think this one has A/C so I’m fine with the setup , raining hardtop sunny no top !
And Adrs yes I want to use it for fun weekend drive not tracking the car and for collection car , my question is the engines been tracked so is it reliable the engine for that money I’m paying , or should I just find a s2000 high mileage under 10k and rebuild the engine ! |
The S2000 engine does not lend itself to rebuilds.
For a fun weekend driver a 2006-2008 (non-CR ) with under 50K miles is still in the $20K - $22K range. Those model years can be FlashPro tuned for significantly increased mid-range power. The advantage and ability to raise the roof in 6 seconds cannot be overstated. And the car stays cleaner with the roof up when parked. -- Chuck |
