hi guys,

i was wonderin if anyone who owns an alpine deck knows what this is. i guess the converter box came off while the deck was being removed and now this needs to be soldered back on for the deck to work properly? can anyone tell me if this is difficult to do and/or what it actually is?

i don't know what it does though... i suspect it's probably to convert the 14.4 volt car power to something more palettable for the amplifier... i'm not sure. you need a serious guru like Mac or Modifry for this one...

i wouldn't try to operate the deck until then though...

Are you (hopefully) talking about an inline fuse box or something? That would make more sense.

no actually the DC/DC converter box got ripped off the wiring... and it wasnt me, its someone else whose selling their deck like that for a good deal. im wonderin if this is repairable. he said its something like 6 wires or so...

I pay $50 for, but no more. I know I could solder it back together and who knows it if even works. With that type of damage I bet it was pulled from somebodies car without permission.
