Alpine TuneIt App?
Do any of you that have a compatible Alpine head unit use the "Alpine Tune It" App? This app has access to user created tuner eq settings for various vehicles and systems including the S2k. You can search for existing tuner eq settings and save them as favorites and also upload them to you head unit. It works quite well. Also, the app allows you to do your own custom settings for your own head unit with a nice graphical display on your smartphone screen. It is very stable on my iphone. Nice app.

My Alpine HU is a generation too old for the app. Plan to upgrade it this winter.

It's not too bad, but I think the UI is poor. I really only use it to backup the EQ and station settings and restore if the battery has to be removed. When I first bought the receiver, the cloud connectivity was really spotty but that seems to have been resolved now.

DanialB - does the app back up the station presets?
|
No, the app does not backup the stations. Seems like an oversight ...

I just upgraded my headunit and have been using the app. in my opinion the app's forte isn't the crowd EQ setting but the ease of EQ setting through a GUI. I've downloaded other people's EQ setting after filtering out s2000 as the vehicle and I wasn't really impressed(?). I'm no expert, but the most popular eq settting for s2000 at the time didn't sound that good through my system. There could be difference in equipment that's also causing that. I just adjusted mine to typical V shape EQ and it sounds pretty good.
