Default AM band not working

I tried doing a search, but AM isn't very easy to find unique matches.

I put in my head unit last week, and had forgotten to test out the AM band. I tried during the week, and the head unit just scans through. It worked with the stock head unit so I'm thinking something is busted in my new head unit.

I looked through the manual (Kenwood KDC-X789) and found nothing where I would have to do something special to get the AM band to tune. Nor did I suspect to find anything. Is there something I should check or need to do before I try to return the head unit?

Thanks.

You have to hook up the power antenna lead. The S2000 has an amplified antenna and needs power to it. You (and like 1,000 others) left the wire unconnected.

Yep. After I posted, I looked at the wires again and realized I had not done the antenna lead. Thanks.

No problem, glad you got it running.
