Anyone have a Sony CDX-MP30?
I want to get a reasonably priced mp3 player and the MP30 caught my eye. I see that it doesnt display ID3 tags, so does that mean you can never tell which folder or song is playing? Also, how is the sound quality?

I have had my CDX-MP30 for about 5 months now. It does display ID3 tags. You just need to press the DISP button to switch between displaying the Album Name, File Name, Clock Time and ID3. As for sound quality, I think it pretty much sounds the same as any other sony head units in the $200-$300 price range. It does not have an equalizer, but the DBASS sounds pretty good. I have 2 sony speakers in the front door and two additional speakers behind the seat (from Lucid, an S2ki sponsor) and the power output is sufficient (without an amp) to sound pretty clear and loud for driving top down on the freeway.

I have one (not in the S2000, not installed still in the box actually) but as human said its a good basic player. I think one of it's pluses is that the face doesn't have to fold down - its slot fed like the stock deck. Red scheme kinda goes with the car, power output is decent, controls are easy to operate.
