JL is a good choice for quality equipment, but it is a bit expensive for what you get...
in all honesty [broken record] if you're buying speakers or electronics simply due to the name brand stamped on them, you're buying them for the wrong, no, the worst reason. you really should go to some stores and compare a variety of speakers to find which ones best suit your personal tastes and budget.[/broken record]
i usually ramble on more, but you can find the whole thing in the S2000 audio faq, including my recommendations on how to demo/listen to gear.
sure, i repeat it over and over and over, and i'm being brief here, but this single act is probably one of the most important and neglected things that should be done when purchasing audio equipment...
