i want to move my battery to the trunk. i already have a 4 gauge wire ran from the stock battery location to the trunk from a previous audio install. can i use this wire? also, if i can use this wire, what do i do with the ground wires that used to be connected to the stock battery? i know i need to ground the battery once i move it to the trunk. i also know i need to put a fuse near the battery once it is moved. any other tips?
I would not use less than 2ga wire for this. Ground the wires in the engine compartment and at the batteries new location very well to bare metal and secured good.

I don't know if the search sucks or if its just your search ability, but I ran a search and there are plenty of links with useful info you can use. Do a search on "relocate battery trunk" and you'll get a good list of threads.
you should ideally use 2g wire. I am not sure of the specifics but 4g may not be capable of holding the current during engine start. (I dont know the amperage of the s2000's starter), considering our battery is pretty small. I would take a gamble and say 4g would suffice, but if for me...i would do 2g wire.
simply ground the oem wires under the hood to the chasis. Additionally, you should use a Circuit breaker in the trunk. Once again the amperage of the circuit breaker would depend on the specifics of our electrical system, but 300 amps should do the trick.
As far as the breaker or fuse in the trunk, it would have to be equal to or slightly greater than the main underhood fuse. Just see what amperage that fuse is and go from there. Don;t try to guess on this one.
