Bass, g-s2k, would you mind posting the solution when you get a chance? This is an install I am contemplating as well.

It seemed from previous posts that the proper input is somewhere between line level and speaker level?????

Also, for maximum bass did you check to see whether the phase problem had been corrected (this is the easily correctable BOSE defect that caused many of the RSX owners to ditch these subs in the first place.)

Thanks in advance!

Yeah, I'm buying one as we speak and I'd greatly appreciate it if you guys would give a quick how-to on it. I'm pretty good with stereo systems, so in-depth isn't required. Just let up know what wires are for what.

Thanks, -Ben

I thought the Bose Sub/amp was designed to take Speaker Level inputs?

Any rattles?

I read this also... but that doesn't make sense.

Why would you take an amplified speaker level output and put it into an amplifier?

Also one thing I didn't mention in that other thread... Bass' headunit has a built in crossover for the sub output. Without one... I don't think the sub will work that great. I honestly don't know if the sub has it's own built-in cross over.

I do know I had to tweak Bass' settings to find the best one.

Just my two cents.

I don't know why, maybe to save $. Most stock HUs directly power the speakers so maybe it wasn't worthwhile for bose to add an RCA just for the sub. My only concern is that if the Bose amp has no gain control then the sub might not sound as good with the RCA input as it would with speaker level input. I have never tried this personally so I could be wrong, in thoery it makes sense to match the output of the HU to the input of the amp.
