Default Bypassing imobiliser to fit F20c into AE86

Hey there guys and girls.

I'm in the process of buying an AE86 that it running an F20c on VEMS EMS. I am looking into changing the management to the stock honda item.

After copious amounts of research I gather that the S2000 is fitted with a transponder in the key and such when it is put into the ignition barrell send s signal to the ECU through the immobiliser reciever unit.

My question is, can I bypass this system?

My basic requirements are to get the car running under the stock honda management so that I no longer have to worry about cold starting and fueling.

I can imagine that one solution would be to utilise the whole system, taking the transponder out of the key and pushing it all up under the dash. So, the Honda ECU "thinks" the right key is being used. To be honest, I'm not keen on this idea as it gives me excess wiring under the dash.

I know it can be done because it HAS been done.

Thanks for reading.

Regards,

Ben

AH!

First bit of good news I've heard all week.

Is this 100%?

I'm presuming there is a slightly different map on the ecu too? Maybe for the higher octanbe fuel they use?

Regards,

Ben

it's a slightly different MAP because they have slightly higher compression, but it's still OEM, so it should adjust (within reason) to the fuel you have

There is no one whom can tune the AEM EMS in your area?
