If you do not want a separate amp I would suggest to look for really efficient speakers. Like the Polk Audio MM6501 .

I'm planning on getting an amp, I'm just not sure if I'll change the head unit. Thanks for the advice on the Speakers. Do you know anything about the "Infinity Kappa Perfect6.1" Speakers? I've heard that they're very good.

If you are planning to get an amp then changing aftermarket headunit is a must, so then you will have a proper pre-amp output from your headunit for better sound quality.

I think the Infinity Kappa Perfect are great speakers but they are a little bright for me, and not to say I think they are way over priced.

I would look into Alpine Type X Pro, CDT HD Series, Hybrid Audio Technologies Imagine / Clarus , Hertz Hi-Energy

although the best sound increase will come from an amp and upgraded speakers, i was suprised at the level of improvement in sound from just a head unit swap
