Which DCI do I need?

OK well I just had a full system put in. I got an Eclipse CD4000 head unit, Infinity Kappa 6.5" components, Infinity Kappa 10" sub, Soundstream Van Gogh 4 channel amp.
I want to retain the audio dash controls and it seems the best choice is the Modifry DCI. They have a bunch of options you need to choose from when getting one. Which options do I need? I need to make sure I still have dash control over volume, mute, next track, change between cd, radio etc and thats all that really matters. Which one do I need? Not having the dash controls really sucks. I just keep the radio door open constantly now and it is a pain in the ass.

OK looked around some more. So I guess the only option for an Eclipse head unit is the IR one? How is that? Does it work well?

from looking at the installation manual
http://akamaipix.crutchfield.com/Man.../099CD4000.PDF
it looks like the CD4000 supports both IR and wired remotes. I know
Modifry makes an IR version compatible with Eclipse headunits, but
it's less clear whether he makes a wired version. In any event. he's
the one to ask, though I understand from some other threads he's
been difficult to reach lately.
As for the IR version, it works fine. Only downsides versus wired are:
small IR emitter has to stick out, and sometimes in very bight sunlight
IR signal is overwhelmed (closing the radio door fixes this).

OK so it doesn't like lose signal or anything with the door closed at all right? If not then I will just go for that one since he does not list a wired one for an Eclipse head unit.

works great with the door closed (you install the emitter next to the
headunit behind the door.
When you order, just tell him what headunit you have, and ask him
to send a wired one if he makes it, or IR otherwise.
One potential issue since your headunit is already installed and it
doesn't sound like you did the install:
usually headunits are installed using an adapter harness such as a
Metra 70-1721 http://www.metraonline.com/products.aspx?s=70-1721
some of these do not have the two s2000-specific wires for the dash
and mute controls. If yours doesn't, there are three possible solutions:
1) tap into the wires in the car's harness (ugly)
2) buy Modifry's harness and use it instead (some work cutting/splicing
wires)
3) move unused wires/pins from the old adapter harness into the right
locations for the dash & mute wires (hope there are some - rear speaker
wires are usually there but unused on an early s2000)

Ok sounds good. Thanks a lot. I'm sure I could figure it out. Good at figuring things out, just time is the limiting factor usually.
