DIY: How to install component Speakers!

There is a lot of good information out there on how to install speakers in the S2000, but most of these sources are here and there, and are not centralized. Since I am new here, I decided to try to do something for the rest of the S2ki community, and help newcomers with detailed pictures on this easy installation.

This DIY will work with / is written for:

-Both after market Head Units and OEM Head Units
-Component Speakers with a crossover
-An AP2 S2000 without flush-mount tweeters

Ok! So I hope you have around 2 hours of free time!

Lets get started!

EDIT (11/29/2013) S2ki will not allow me to update image links as since this post was made a image limit was added to posts.

Break 'em in, then play em loud! Enjoy!

Feedback appreciated!

wow that was exactly like i did with my polk DB 6501's. I had to cut out the tweeter for the doors cause i have an 01. I used 04+ tweeter covers. figures you show pics of the inside of the door panels AFTER i put mine in. I needed a pic of how Honda cut the door tweeters. no biggy thos but it sounds a whole lot better. when i have extra money going to get a small Alpine 2 channel amp and have it installed in the spare tire. good write up.

I personally see no need for an amp, if I crank these puppies to 20, I can hear em top down going 90. I can krank em all the way to 32 and they are still crystal!

Nice write up. This will get added to the list of all the DYI we have.

If you need help with something else you can read the FAQ thread that is stickied at the top of the page, that list's all the info on might need to pretty much rewire the entire car ;)

Just as a side note however, there is completely no need for the glue ;) so that really should be edited out.
