I thought I'd try and compose a working list of what people have used for a rear speaker set up. What brand and size do you have installed and if you know, what the top mount depth was.
Also, did you do any type of cutting/modifying other than cutting a circle out of the plastic panels. Thanks. |
I used the OEM door speakers for the rear. No other mod required besides cutting the hole in the plastic panel. I think they sound very nice.

I know the rest of you are just dying to reply to this thread, don't be shy..........even if you installed 4" Jensens that you got at Walmart, we wont laugh at you.......

I shoe-horned in two 6 1/2 Kraco coaxial 100W speakers in the rear... I bought them for next to nothing: K-Mart has returned with their 'Blue Light Specials'...

Polk 4" components. No metal cutting required.
|
Kenwood 6.5" 2-ways. No metal cutting.
Also have the same in the doors, two marathon tweets up top, and a 12" polk in the trunk. Factory deck, 1 x 4ch amp (80wx4), and 1 x 2ch bridged (400w) running the sub. Peace. |
I bought Lucid's rear panels with the Polk EX402a 4"
A no-brainer (which I needed): came with cable and clear (wanted to say "lucid") instructions. cal |
Will Alpine 6 1/2 components work? (top mount)
|

|
