Hi owner of 2003 s2000 . Had to disconnect my battery. I have the code for my radio. there's no doubt the right code paper work and dealer rechecked. The problem i enter the first 3 numbers. enter the third one radio screen shows error #9 and then put in last digit . Radio won't take the code tried numerous times. Just yfi when the is on 3 shows and the word CODE. Any ideas? Thank You

The radio needs to have the "CODE" prompt on it before you enter the code. It sounds like you are out of sequence (it sees the last half of the code as the first half and vise versa). The error number is the number of times you have entered the wrong code. Once you reach ten times it will lock and you will either need to wait 24 hours or pull the battery again.

Honestly the easiest way to get back to a clean start is to just pull the battery and fully reset the radio at this point. Keep it disconnected for 10 minutes or so to ensure the radio resets. When you reconnect it and try to power on the radio it should read "CODE" on the display. Enter your code at that point and all should be well.
