I have decide to start building sub boxes and selling them online. For those of you that don't know me or haven't seen my work, these are a few pictures of the sub box I built in my S now:
What's included in a basic box setup:
The basic box will consist of a sealed, single, centered sub enclosure wrapped in black/charcoal vinyl.
The box will have the wiring built right into the box, so if you choose to take it out for any reason you can just disconnect it and pull it out, be it for a track day or running to the store. I will supply you with a set of male connectors that are to be crimped onto your wiring from your amp. If you wish to have the wire left long for a 'hard' install that can be done as well(the hard install is 'better' but is not able to be removed as with the quick connector install). Your box will come semi-tuned to your sub but not to your amp. You will have to properly tune your sub to the the amp spec's. However if you live in and or around my area you are more than welcome to come to the shop and I will tune it for you.
If you have interest in purchasing one of these boxes please PM me. The price will largely depend on the style and type of box you'd like. All I will require is that you have your sub shipped to me for the build as well as a 50% deposit via MO or paypal(please include the 3% paypal charge with your payment).
If you would like plexiglass work done and/or built into the box that can be done as well, LED lighting can also be added. Those items or other items you would like built in will be extra. Paint work is available but will be extra and that cost will be quoted. If you would like the box painted that can be done but I will give you a separate quote based on what you would like done (with custom paint work it can be different for each box) In most cases I can bring to the dealer to have it factory matched to your paint
As an example, the box shown above would be about $400-450.
If you have a sub in mind and would like me just to pick one up at a local shop, I can but I will require that you pay for the sub in full. I will be offering a complete combo in the near future that will include the box and the sub, but not quite yet. I'm still getting pricing on different subs and from different vendors.
Update- I will also be selling modifed A-pillers with tweeters built in to them, complete with a full speaker set for the front stage. I will also be offering other custom sound system parts. I've seen a few of you that wanted to convert from the older style stock tweeter pods to the new version, but the holes are different. So I will be making a pod similar to the stock one but it will be able to cover the hole of the round pod. This most likely will not be ready until the spring though. I have a lot of new things in mind, and if you guys have requests or ideas please pass them on and I'll see what we can do with it.
Yeah my friend and I are working on a website but it won't be ready for a few weeks. My friend Jake and I are going to be opening up a full tuning and electronics shop but its going to take a little while but we want to get the website start ASAP. We should have the name nailed down tonight I hope.
Once we have it up and running Mac I'll do the same for you!
