Lucid - at some point in the past you mentioned that this box would allow continued use of the spare and storage of the flat.
could you please elaborate on how to store the box w/ the flat? i'd love to grab this box and mount my amp on top if storing a flat in the trunk with the box is possible...

also, what options exist for 'special ordering' to have the box fully carpeted (at i expect an additional cost)? and what model subs are you aware of which fit?

When you get a flat, you remove the spare... and put the flat in the well of the bay upright. The area where the spare was can stow this box.

We can do a full carpeted box as well, I'll note that as an upgrade option. Not needed because its not seen.

The Polk Driver in the photo actually is a very good mate to this box. Together it would be under $200.

I forgot to add the Driver must be under 5" deep to fit this box.

i was figuring that was the answer. what about clearance for an amp install. i realize it will depend on the amp, but how much height is left to work with? my amp is almost exactly 2.75" tall - i'm guessing i'd need a little another 1/2" or so clearance for getting in and out...

you'll have to forgive me, i'm still new to my car and haven't dismantled it entirely yet... :D
i suppose i could go drag out my spare and measure, but i'm hoping you've done the ground work for me... otherwise, i'll go take a measurement later...

regarding the Polk driver you have in there... i was looking for something with a bit more power handling. how's the Polk GNX104? it's not much better for power, but... w/ that depth, there are limits as to what is out there. i also saw the MOMO would be a tight fit, but w/ a small spacer perhaps it could be used? Crutchfield shows it to be 5 1/16" deep.

Amping and wiring is all the customer's design.

The GNX104 is 4.69" deep and would be fine. The Momo wouldn't.
If you're looking for more depth or power or even a more customized look I'd suggest sourcing your work out to a local audio shop.

Yes, there is a limitation to which drivers will fit and have proper airspace. We have a wide variety of brands to work with so compatible subs will be an add on option on the website to make things easier

i'm looking for a practical solution which will allow me to retain use of the spare, and do that with the best audio quality and power handling possible. and i was hoping to support the sponsors here while doing it. i was hoping your research could save me time, however, i am fully capable of performing my own research.
please post an actual maximum mounting depth.
