Previous Owner's Viper Alarm 'Secret' start procedure aka press mirror adjust button
I've had a AP1 for a while now and I running into an issue recently. When I purchased the car the previous owner had installed a viper alarm and to start the car initially, once and only once per key twist not on stalls, you MUST press the mirror adjust right button while pressing the clutch and start button to start the car. Unfortunately I removed the adjustable mirrors and replaced them with gt style mirrors when I gutted the interior. Sadly the mirror adjust procedure doesn't work consistently anymore. About once every 10 starts I am spending 5 minutes mashing the adjustment pad in every direction until for some reason it works. Today it wants to start with the adjust down button.. I imagine not having the mirror plugged in is the issue but I'd like to neuter this feature instead.
What should I be looking wiring wise on the car to remove this? What mechanism on the alarm system would handle this? I considered it being a neutral switch, but I don't have remote start.
The procedure works even when the middle mirror adjustment position is selected so I am a little confused and no nothing about alarms.
