Steering heavy in one direction, 2000 AP1

Hi all,
after a long hiatus of not owning an s2k I am once again an owner. As the title states, I current am dealing with the EPS giving powered steering when turning right, but almost no assist when going left. I have used the search function and have done the paperclip with the EPS reset. I am currently on the AEM infinity ECU but I tried to reset the EPS with both the OEM ecu and also the AEM. Does anyone have a possible solution or has anyone experienced this even after several successful resets?

Any help on this issue would be appreciated.

Have you tried turning with the car off and front wheels in the air? Just to see if there is some kind of mechanical resistance.

Something to try for sure. Turning the steering wheel with the tires off the pavement will confuse the heck out of the EPS and require a reset as it apparently requires some resistance to calibrate itself. Something I found out by accident. :) But one more reset won't hurt the system.

May need to reset the electronic steering torque sensor. Good luck! :)

I did try to reset the EPS with the fronts in the air and two things happened. First, the steering wheel would just slowly turn itself to the right all the way. Second, I couldn't get the EPS to initiate the reset. I'm assuming its because there wasn't enough resistance?

I tried doing several resets. All with different steering angles and different center positions. When the tires were in the air I could not get the EPS to initiate the calibration process.

This is what I have been doing with no success. EPS will properly blink twice, then after a few seconds blink 3 times more. Attempted several times on both the AEM ecu as well as OEM.
