You can also mount it to the side, which would fix the above problem.

I couldn't do the side mount though, cause If I did put a sub in, I wouldn't be able to get my golf clubs in.

Here's mine and with this grill there are no worries. I had no problems going on long trips with the wife and having the trunk loaded. Also have no problem putting my golf bag in there.

If I do go the sub route, I will be doing something along these lines

I have the the sub in the same location as the above quote, I can still lug around my artwork 17x20in and not bend or wrinkle it =D. Whats amazing is that you realize how much space you have with out the sub haha.

Check out JL Audio's Stealth for the S2000. I have a CR which doesn't have a spare anyway. I just carry a plug kit and the compressor that came with the car (and pliers and a light) and I didn't need the rest of the crap that that formerly occupied the space the sub now fills. The third picture is of the underside of the sub cover - from the top, it looks stock.

Has anyone made a new spare tire cover that doesn't have the bulge for the spare tire? I'd love to have a cover, but don't like giving up the space that the bulge needlessly consumes.

send a PM to PAS2KNut, who posted above. if you notice where his amp is, there's no spare tire bulge to the side. once upon a time he sold such an amp board on the forum. he still might be able to help you out.
