Subwoofer in trunk "hole"
Hey guys, just curious, i have this http://www.zenclosures.com/Honda_S20.../s2krecess.htm with a 12in Kicker cvr subwoofer. Is this the right sub for this box ? Also, what kind of bass shall i be expecting ( loud, not loud, etc ) ? And i have an audiopipe 1500watt amp along with this. Thanks in advance.

just stick a sub in there and it will hit. i have a audioque hdc3 in my box (same box as yours) and i stuffed it with poly and it hits pretty good, but i have a decent amp also

This may be a facepalm but uhm what's poly ? : l
|
stuffing with poly(kinda like cotton) makes the sound waves move slower, so it will make the sub thing its in a bigger box. so instead of it being .8 cubic feet box it would be like 1.2 cubic feet box google it, it has proven gains. the sub i use requires a 2.2cf of air space (ported) so the sub i have is pretty big. so using this in a box will make it feel bigger but for less space

I ordered mine for a 10" sub. I'll get it by this week and let you know how it goes. So far ive only heard good reviews. People say it fits tight and sounds great. |
Believe I have that one. Or one just like it I bought on ebay for my S a few years ago. Works perfect.

I actually can't remember. I'll have to take a look. It's some really thick wire for the sub I know though.

im using 18 gauge (walmart brand)for my front and 12 gauge(KnuKonceptz Klear) for my 10" sub. Anyone recommend a different size? and brand?

I have one in my car. I ordered the 10' version but the box is big enough for a 12'. I have a JL sub and have it crossed low at 80hz so I feel the bass but wont rattle any more stuff in the car.
