Default Where do I mount the DB6500 crossovers?

Going to install in the morning- where has everyone put the crossovers when mounting them in the door? I was planning to use velcro to hold them in place. They seem kind of big and if the door is like everything else in the S2000- space will be at a premium...

It was obvious- almost like Honda put those black boxes on the back of the door panel with that in mind....

Thanks!

I put mine in the door. I have them nestled in foam boxes. I do fear rain coming in though. I think that I will try to waterproof them or something. Or have an installer wire them through the door to place them under the seats.

Another caveat is that if you want to toggle the switches you have to take the door panel off to do so.

Good luck.

On the Polk db6500's there does not seem to be any adjustments on the crossovers- no problem there. They do sound better- much crisper than the stock units.

Then you should be alright. It is just the rain that I fear. Anyone have any bad experience with rain coming in the door?

I've only heard of people fearing the rain, have yet to see somebody complain about it... but I don't read every post in this section... so I could be wrong.

I currently have mine in that black "box" in the door but just recently got some of that Monster 4 conduit cable and I'm going to mount them in the back w/ the amp (when I build an amp-rack) since I'm running new wire for the speakers anyway I figured I should go ahead and put them in a location that's easy to get to if something happens or whatever.

I put mine in the trunk, but I am just different that way. More wiring involved, but I can adjust them more easily (not that I ever have).

I will have to check out putting them in the black box area. I do like the idea of putting them in the back. I plan on getting an amp and will probably re-wire the speaker wires. The stock wire is thin. I think that I counted like 8 strands of copper.
