Is there any other place that sell this Amp? Cause that ebay auction is only for US. I'm in Canada. I remember seeing tons of these on ebay for cheap.

Doubt these places are reputable, but here are some.

http://shop.store.yahoo.com/discave/trsost4chcar.html

http://store.thestereohouse.com/yhst-31531...6/tr500-4-.html

I think I have seen it as low as $399, but can't find the place again. Granted, I am not brave enough to order from these places.

www.Acaraudio.com has it as well.

These amps were going around 400 US all over the place a month ago. but now it seem to have raised the cost to around 500 US.

maybe there is too much demand for these amps. Anyone know any other place that still sell the amp for around $400 US??

The only tarantula you can get now (that soundstream is still producing) is the 2000/1. THe 500.4 is discontinued, thus the crazy demand. Grab the one above for 449......its a steal. They retailed for 1300+.

I got mine at Woofers Etc and they still have a lot of the amps in stock. The prices are going and up and up though.

FYI: A Soundstream engineer recommended the 880/2 for components and said that in their testing the 700/2 is better for subwoofers, which is part of the reason why they discontinued the line (it confused the suppliers and new versions are due by year end). The 700/2 sounds amazing in my car powering 125 watts RMS x 2 to MB Quart components.

What is your speaker setup? 125 watts RMS x 4 sounds crazy for this car (not that that's a bad thing ). I can't imagine what S-PODS would sound like with that much juice as I always thought they were for rear fill only.

And for what it's worth Infinite pissed me off to no end when I was looking for my tarantula. Their site was never updated fast enough to reflect their inventory. I guess they weren't expecting to have such a hot product on their hands. Discount Jungle was similarly frustrating. I'd call the store before you order online. The Woofer Etc guys were easy to deal with and made sure they held my box in their hand before I placed my order. They're based out of LA too so you should get your product pretty quick.

Edit: one more thing It took me 7 orders to get my amp shipped. If you find one in stock jump on it. It's well worth it!

Another nod for woofers etc. They are a pleasure to deal with.
