Default 06+ AEM Infinity traction control SOS Review

Hello all. I had my new setup run on Infinity from Series 2, done by Chris at Science of Speed. One of the added features was programmable traction control. Unlike the factory VSA which is VERY aggressive, the traction control done via Infinity is much more progressive. It being programmable you can customize how much the system works. You can also disable the traction control using the VSA switch. I ran the car at the track both with it on and off. With the system ON, I noticed the power slowly being pulled when I got a bit too aggressive on corner exit. You can still "overwork" the system and slide, but that's when you're pushing it far too hard. With the system OFF, it's as expected. No intervention from the ECU when it detects wheel slip, you will go sideways . The only "downside" is you don't have on-the-fly adjustment of wheel slip. I had the Hondata traction control unit back when I was on FlashPro and it had a module with a knob you could adjust to different levels. The system works just fine for me, and I can still turn it off when I want so this isn't a necessary feature for me but something to take note of. So if you're 06+ and looking at the Infinity, the traction control you can get is FAR superior to VSA and I recommend you get it.

If you want to adjust the traction control aggressiveness, you can wire in a 12 position trim pot from AEM to the ECU and select how much or little slip you want. "Almost everything" is configurable this way (or with a simple digital on/off switch) like this in the Infinity software.

Are the TC triggers based on speed differential between driven and driven wheels in fixed MPH with the pot on analog 14 added a fix mph adjustment? I would have thought they would have used the same adjustment as the now discontinued RaceLogic (the company that makes VBox) Traction Control which let the driver choose between 'wet', 5%, 10%, 15%, and 20% wheel slip.
