Default AEM releases new Stand Alone ECU, AEM Infinity EMS

Just got back from SEMA, where the AEM booth was nuts. They just released a new EMS called the infinity. Here is an article about it. Very exciting!

Since I am buying and EMS unit I contacted them about this and they told me the infinity unit was 2 months from shipping and that an s2000 specific unit was a ways off as they were going to focus first on new applications for which they don't currently cover with the series 2 ems.

Don't get your hopes up either that this will be a comparable alternative to Series 2 boxes. This is MoTeC ($5k+) territory.

They will make these for new applications not covered by the current EMS applications list. Improvements over the EMS come down to improvements in components and the need to stay competitive. Which come to every product over time.

Motec units actually start at 2500 and go up but are priced higher due to lack of market alternatives not component cost.

I've had the chance to use the Infinity-10. From a hardware standpoint it's phenomenal. Manufacturer's suggested retail price is going to be at or around $2,300.00.
