^it seems very odd that a reflash would cause an O2 sensor failure. macr88, do you still get this error?

macr88 Jan 12, 2010 12:36 PM

I still get this error but I haven't had a chance to put the cat back in.
It's very strange that before the flashpro I was getting a different code due to the test pipe and after the flash I'm getting the P2A00 code. I guess it's possible that it failed at the same time but for a few of us to have the same failure at the same time as the flashpro seems odd.
Stock 02 sensor is pricey so I want to put my cat back in before I replace the sensor.

Hmmm, could it be possible Honda had a bad batch of O2 sensors installed in some '06/'07s? Lol, I see a couple of you have '07 GPWs, a local member with the same color just had his 02 sensor replaced a few months ago.

It wouldn't surprise me if a really poor part throttle tune could cause the O2 sensor to "appear" bad to the ECU. What do your long and short term fuel trims look like when you accellerate very slowly in 3rd gear at 10-15% throttle from 2K to 5K?

I've only used the "tuned" stock map and the Injen tune. I also did a hybrid where I used the stock tune and pasted in my WOT maps. I got a CEL on that one too.

OK, so the "stock equivalent" file has now thrown a code and it only took about 20 miles. I'm thinking of doing the TSB for O2 sensor heat up and replacement.

Good luck with everything.

Just passed 200 miles and *knocks on wood* the CEL has not returned. Pretty sure I found my fix to the problem guys, hopefully it fixes everyone else's issue too.

So is this a Flashpro problem or people all of a sudden finding out they're having a faulty O2 sensor?

Update:
Should have knocked on more solid wood... CEL came back on today. Don't have my laptop on hand nor the FlashPro connected to the car, however was on my way to lunch with friend who works in Honda Service.
He's going to pull the code when he gets free and let me know.

I'll post updates as soon as I know... few hours.
