This sounds awesome, and may end up being my first mod. Are there noticeable gains in torque/drivability if the stock cat is left in place?

With the stock cat in place you'll be limited to something like a 5500-5600rpm vtec engagement. If you were to get a tune by Gernby I'm sure you'd see gains because the tune would be tailored to your car specifically.

I would highly recommend getting a testpipe, or at least a high-flow cat if your state does smog and/or you personally don't want to run a catless car. The difference you'll feel over stock with a properly tuned car that switches to the high cam in the mid-3000 rpm range is huge. With a high-flow cat you might not be able to go quite as low as 3600 (I'm betting Gernby knows) but it should still yield significant gains over a stock cat if you're going to spend the time/money to get it custom tuned.

He is here in North Texas.... I will be getting a tune from him shortly, once my Hondata arrives.

You can do the etune by sending him the data logs from the pulls he specifies and then he can work his voodoo magic and will send you the tune. He is really good because he will work with you to assure it is right.

Bump for anyone considering Flashpro.

Edit: Might as well add some more information while I'm here--

I have been running Gernby's tune all summer and the car is still running flawlessly. Even in the extremely hot 90+ degree days of August the car has pulled much stronger than in previous years.

I would again HIGHLY recommend anyone with an 06+ to consider Flashpro and a Gernby tune.

Nice, a lot of positive comments.

I'll be going the Hondata Flashpro route soon and will definitely hit up an etune from Gernby!

My EURO map, made by Gernby, works fine (on street and track). Nothing to say if not that he did a great job.

Thanks
