Not banned, just didn't renew their sponsorship on the forums. SOS knows about this ECU, I would suggest you contact them and hear their opinion on it.

Ballade have been "banned" since November, seems it might be more than just a sponsor thing.

Bump!

Looking for info on this.

I have an AP1 and want the best way to tune, while being OBD2 emissions compliant in New Hampshire. Until now the only options have been Emanage, VAFC and a KPRO conversion.

Is this ballade setup worth the 2500 bucks?

Look up Ballistic Motorsports & Granite State Dyno since you are in NH. They should be able to take care of you.

I did Hondata and though yes a bit of work it's not over the top crazy.

Any feedback on this solution? I see someone above mentioned that SOS had an opinion about it, doesn't sound like it's a very positive one.

I'd like to know if this is truly a plug and play for 00-05 cars where we can buy, plug and play, specify injectors and MAP sensor, place a base tune and carefully drive to a tuner.

Science Of Speed's response to me was " We have no in house experience with this." It looks like they have heard about it along with the Doctronic ECU and that is about it. The Modifry ECT-2 is required to install this ECU. I will be mentioning this ECU to my local tuner when I visit them in the future.

My initial thought when Ballade became a sponsor of this product was that the price would be beneficial, but it is a rip of in my eyes. Kpro, the OEM parts, and labor to install everything are less than the 2,500 (at least when I do installs).

Jack Mugen, I am still surprised you are still runing the Vortec piggyback stuff on your car, take that crap of your car and give the car Kpro 4. You have a lot of nice stuff on that car, complete the package!

Ballade sports have now included/wired in the Modifry ECT-2 at no extra charge.

" I am still surprised you are still runing the Vortec piggyback stuff on your car, take that crap of your car and give the car Kpro 4." I have plans to come back and have a KPro 4 installed.

I wonder if the $2500 price tag is their convenience tax since with their solution no sensor swap is needed? So A. you swap your sensors and install cheaper kpro or B. you install Ballade solution without the sensors swap... but that'll costs the same. Maybe?
