Mugen intake makes +16whp with new Flashpro tune
what do you make of this? surprising, given the generally lackluster dyno results from intakes... what could be going on here?

the original tune might not have been optimal
|
Not bad until you consider the cost of flash pro + intake + header + exhaust = about $3k. Greddy kit = 3k.

FlashPro tune + 'NOS' sticker can give +16 whp. |
it says Hondata did the tunes back to back, only making changes to account for the addition of the mugen intake. you think they purposely 'sandbagged' the first test to create a marketing opportunity for the mugen intake?
|
Regardless how good or bad the tune is the intake will not yield 16WBHP.
Even the likes a turbo supras etc dont yeild that much just with an intake. :bs: Lots of ways cheating retarder dyno and interia dynos if you really want too :D |
They should've dynoed the intake before and after the tune. :p
|
hard to belive. would be nice for hondata to jump in the conversation with details...
any one verify the tune was added to flashpro manager and noted any difference with other tunes like the toda header tune? maybe a dirty stock filter vs no filter? |
the mugan calibration was added to fpro manger. nothing exciting about the tune.
5400 vtec, cleaned up the a/f (13.5 target) - reduced fuel up top and added 1 degree of timing over stock up top (columns 7, 8 and 9), added a .5 degree over stock tune in column 6. love to see how the mugan intake compares to the stock box without a filter with and without the stock air box lid. |
250hp is a lot for a car with an intake, header, and exhaust
