It should be in the ~$1200 shipped region.

I'm assuming this will play nice with an F22C? My understanding is the harness plugs are the same between AP1 and early AP2 (for us 'Mericans), and want to make sure since I had read that Greece had the F22C available as well, but there was no mention of AP2.
The plugs are the same between the AP1 and the early AP2, correct. I haven't been able to find an AP2 with the F22C locally, so I can't confirm whether it will work out of the box or not. My understanding is that the F22C was only available in the US, and for a couple of years in Japan as well.
Well, I'm subscribed. I may be willing to guinea pig it if you're unable to find an F22C locally. It would be an ideal solution since I'm running a 2005 USDM under SCCA Solo STR rules and am not too keen on running a piggy back.

Solo STR also requires that whatever you do needs to be contained inside the stock ECU housing, unless it's a piggyback. The current AP1 model won't fit inside the stock ECU housing, however if there's enough demand we may to a model for that, albeit with a reduced feature set as you are not allowed to use extra sensors in STR.

You can have the additional features in place as long as you're not using them during competition. Granted I haven't had an AP1 ECU in hand to compare against the early AP2 ECU, but they look identical from what I can see.

After a few hours worth of reading, it appears that the F22C is a drop-in swap on any AP1, and it actually works with the stock AP1 ECU.

If that's the case, it will also work with this ECU as well - just retune for the F22 instead of the F20, and also lower the rev limit as the F22 has a lower max piston speed.

So is there any ETA on this product/solution?

The hardware is working.

we are waiting for our test car to come back from a roll bar installation (literally any day now), then it's in for full testing and dyno.

Once we have a good dyno map, I would like to see it perform flawlessly for at least a month in daily driver duties, just to make sure everything is working correctly.

Fokker, just a point of caution - there has been a lot of debate about what level of OBDII port communication is required to meet the requirements of the SCCA STR class. I do not believe a protest (and therefore protest committee ruling) has been conducted regarding the legality of standalones that do not offer true OBDII compatibility, e.g., more than just code and sensor communication.

My interpretation is that the stock ECU needs to be retained for rule compliance... but I'm just one opinion.

I have to hunt around to find actual instances of protest over that. The rulebook just specifies functionality, but it doesn't clarify levels of functionality other than OE.

Yep - that's the tough part. Where do you draw the line? The limiting phrase (in my mind) is: "Any OE OBD2 or newer communications port functionality must remain." My interpretation might be conservative, but the "any OE" part makes me think you'd need to be able to read emissions testing readiness flags, CEL codes, ECU parameter data streams.
