Remote Tuning Vs. Local Dyno Tuning on AEM Infinity SOS Supercharged

I'm currently finishing up my SOS Supercharger build. I went with AEM Infinity for the EMS. I'm currently having a hard time trying to decide between my tuning options. I'm Located in OKC, OK and there is a Local Shop by the name of Humble Performance that specializes in Honda builds and the tuner is AEM Infinity certified that offers dyno tuning. Another option i've looked into is remote tuning with Sergio of Kings performance or Jeff Evans of Evans tuning. I am wanting to fully utilize the AEM by utilizing the failsafe options. What are you experiences with the following tuners and on remote tuning and dyno tuning. Thanks!

If you have a highly reputable tuner near you, go that route. Build a relationship with your tuner.

If you live in the middle of nowhere and have no local tuners, THEN do an Etune route. But even then I would still recommend shipping the car with a full tank AND 20 gallons of fuel from your area to a reputable tuner that might be out of state.

Or you can look up my reviews, and hit me up :D

Subscribed. I myself plan to try remote tune with evans tuning. The guy even has an online class. Please keep us informed. Also since you have aem infinity do you plan on using aem data? Loking to see if we can start truly comparing car set ups by using video overlays like this:

I am Currently working with Evans Etuning and let me tell you, Evans Tuning is very great at what he does. After a few datalogs and revised tunes later the car is running great! It runs as smooth as OEM! I was skeptical of etuning at first due to not having the tuner tuning the car in person, but after my great experience with Evans Tuning I would recommend him to anyone looking to tune! Jeff is very prompt and replies very quickly.

How many actual runs on the dyno does it take for the etune? Thats the part that concerns me renting a dyno from someone else and cost of etune must add up quick

The dyno shops in Florida are only 60-100$ an hour

Just finished up tuning with Jeff, here’s my experience. I would recommend.

Did you ever get a rough estimate about horsepower?

If you follow this video step by step its easy enough to get a virtual dyno by simply using old data logs. (This way you can compare power levels on previous runs)
