Default What ECU should I use??

I have an '75 MG midget with a FC20 engine swap. I purchased the car, swap done, with an AEM infinity series 506 which as you all know is no longer available or supported. I believe the ECU is destroyed and I need a new ECU to run the car. The wiring is an amalgamation of S2000 harness, AEM harness to AEM ECU, and MG. This is strictly a street cruiser, not tracked, fun car.
What are your recommendations????

Flanders, Thanks, this really helped. If anyone has a functioning AEM infinity 30-71 series 506 that they are wanting to sell (reasonably), please contact me. I know its obsolete but if it's its working it might get me back on the road until I can get another brand wired up.

Will a Honda F20C ECU work? Ebay is flooded with them. (Assuming your FC20 engine is really a F20C ).

I"m not sure if it would work, it seems it should. It is definitely an F20C. However, I don't have any of the associated software nor interfaces to that ECU. Thanks for the help. I'll research that a bit and see if I could use it.

If you have the OEM harness a LINK G4X is the move. It's plug and play directly into the harness for the 00-05 engines and is the most modern of the ecu offerings.

Default Thanks

Thanks, I'm looking into Link, seems to be the go-to ECU.

Your biggest issue is going to be that it wants an OEM ECU case. There is a company that now 3d prints a case for the LINE PNP ECU so you don't need to track down an OEM ECU case. I run the link in my car an absolutely love it.

Thanks again Feezy, I'll check into the case. I do 3-d printing myself and make a lot of parts for my car restorations but it is always easier to buy something that works. FYI, today I'm testing all the infinity pins referenced on the Power Distribution Diagram in the AEM manual. I'm still holding out hope that I can get the infinity back working. I've recently had hand surgery so its difficult to work with small intricate things like the pins on the connectors, one reason why this process is going so slow.
I really appreciate all of the input I'm getting on this forum and others. What a great community.

Not sure how I stumbled onto this thread. However I have one coming out of my car. Long story, but was barely used as an attempted piggyback for my J swap. Going different direction. It’s either a 506, or 508 can’t remember exactly. Not sure your timeline, but might be about a month before I could get it to you. PM if at all interested
