Winter storage - low fuel

Hi all,

I am looking for some advise here. Just bought an AP2 in nov 2017. I live in Central NY, so I put the car away in my garage. Everything else is fine, I just realized that my fuel tank is 1/4 or a little less than that. I am scared about condensation. Any suggestions what should I be doing now or when I get the car out in season? Would highly appreciate some expert advise :-)

Thanks!!

I think you will most likely be fine. But for piece of mind you can add 5 gallons with a Jerry can and some fuel stabilizer

Just be sure if you add fuel to top off, don’t go overboard. If you keep topping off the fuel with a standard fuel nozzle, you run the risk of overflow getting into the carbon canister evap system. (According to Billman as I recall)

Take her out with a bottle of Sea Foam gasoline treatment with you and go to the gas station. Glug the correct amount of Sea Foam into the tank and fill with 93 Octane. Let the gas pump do the cutoff. Drive home. Store. All based on several years winter storing cars and boats. Your choice of gas stabilizer is probably good too.
