Default Would you use a drop in ECU from DIYAutotune?

The other day I was on miataturbo.net, and I saw someone mention that DIYAutotune is bringing out a new line of plug and play kits for various applications.

http://diyautotune.com/diypnp/index.html

The systems are similar to their Miata PNP boxes that have been imminently reliable and flexible in the past (and CHEAP! Like Under $750 out the door...). They didn't have the late OBD-II Honda kits on the website yet, so I sent them an email asking whether or not a kit was in the works, and they said that they saw a market niche, and would look into it.

So, the big question is, would you use one? The Miata MSPNPs are simple, reliable, very polished, and very easy to use. Assuming that the S2000 PNP ECU was as good as the Miata application, I can't see any reason not to use one, other than a general lack of *JDM y0* legit awesomeness, and that it costs a reasonable amount of money.

I hesitated to post this in a forum sponsored by Hondata, but as I see it, Hondata began as the cheap, easy (good) solution, and they've gotten away from that dramatically with the KPro (out of necessity, possibly). If there exists a solution that is the moral equivalent of the early Hondata ECUs, why wouldn't we use them?

**EDIT**

Please don't vote 'No' because you already have an engine management system, or you don't think you'll ever need one. I'm curious if you WOULD buy one of these if you needed/ were in the market for one. If you vote 'No' because you prefer another solution to MS PNP, please explain why. BTW, 'I just don't like it' is a perfectly acceptable reason.

Yes it's Megasquirt, but it's not as ghetto/ homespun/ $2k Challenge as it was in 2003-05. The software is comprehensive and polished, and the board designs are reliable, flexible and capable. And you can have them assemble and test your box before it ships, so you don't have to assemble a circuit board for your first time on an ECU you're trying to trust in your daily driver, lol.

I'm using MegaSquirt on a customer's Miata. I love it. Its got tons of support all over the web, and the guys at DIYautotune.com are great. It is very easy to use and has help tabs on everything to explain exactly what they do as well as in depth installation procedures.

Megasquirt EMS' are good when you have them running right. Kinda hard to explain, but sometimes they act up. Overall, they're a great cost effective tuning solution.

They're very popular where I'm from. 2 vehicles sponsored on that site are owned by the guy whom I buy my nitrous from.

This is the truck that was popular on youtube a few years ago that was stomping on Vettes and everything. Heres a video of it.

Both of those were running megasquirt and just decimating everyone around here on the street. He now has a 69 Nova wagon with a 6.0 LS block thats twin turbo'd with megasquirt. I think he popped the motor at drag week though, but he's gonna be going at it again.

My buddy is also running a Megasquirt system in his BP-T swapped MX-3. He traps 87 in the 1/8th mile with a stock swapped motor with the Megasquirt. It runs amazingly well.

Nice! I used to have an MX-3, mine was nothing near as quick as your buddy's though.
