Whose car? Mine has a 63.5mm Berk high flow cat and Tanabe Medalion Touring dual exhaust. 221hp at the rear wheels on a Mustang dyno and Gernby FlashPRO tune. Significantly more mid-range power.

Is having a high-flow cat a "must have" with the flashpro?

Yes, in order to lower the vtech point under 5500 rpm. I believe mine is set at 3600. I can't explain the science behind it but I trust Gernby and the other more knowledgeable folks who tell me so.

HFC is a must have. Don't bother with a flashpro if you are not going to get one. HFC+Flashpro+Gernby tune is all you really need to see a big difference in performance.

The issue is although the stock cat flows very well, resonant frequencies exist with its design that result in negative performance changes when trying to lower vtec rpm. You lose power instead of gaining. A hfc, as well as a tp, have different resonances, and don't counteract lower vtec engagement. You can lower vtec effectively and improve power under the curve.

Basically, with the stock cat there is no point in Flashpro.

How do you get in contact with Greg?

It seems as though I cannot PM him?

Also, I couldn't locate an official thread for etunes by him?

Thanks!
