06+ Fuel System Solutions

Hello all,

I have a Kraftwerks kit with C38-91 blower and I was hoping to get some suggestions. I had the car dynotuned and it made 410/280 on E85 but was having issues with fuel up top (won’t rev past 7500). This was with ID1000 and the included Grams 265lph pump. It currently has a Walbro 255lph pump, and the issue still persists (obviously not gonna make a significant difference but I had the Walbro laying around). I’d like to make as close to 500whp as possible, and am deciding on what to do about the fuel. Ideally I’d like to just swap in a bigger pump (AEM 340lph), but I know if I want much more I’m gonna have to convert to return-fuel. Already have the SOS wiring kit installed, would an AEM pump be able to flow up to redline?

You're going to need larger injectors and fuel pump to reach 500whp on e85. 1600cc or larger injectors with a 320lph fuel pump should get you to 500whp or more. As far as converting to return-fuel system, you should be okay up to around 500whp, anything more you'll probably begin to notice a drop in fuel pressure in the upper rpm. The rev issue you're having could be due to this actually.

Thanks for the reply, I guess I’ll be upgrading to ID1300x and a 320lph pump. If I want any more than that I’ll just convert to return-fuel. Thanks!

Hey Ivan, could you give me an update for this? I’m having the same problem with MY06 I’m also running SOS wiring kit and AEM 320LPH pump with a KW C38-81 kit with the provided 1000cc injectors, my tuner mentioned the my fuel pressure drops past 7500. I would like to know what you did to fix your problem thank you in advance! ✌

450 pump all you need. 255/320s are weak for E85.

Oh shoot, I apologize I forgot to mention that im not on E85, just pump gas.

OH.... you should have plenty for pump gas?

and anything over 450ish on pump gas gets hairy just saying.

I ended up forgoing the aem320 and just picked up a Walbro 450 and am doing a custom return-fuel setup using the new Radium 06+ fuel rail and their direct-mount regulator, converting the stock feed line into a return line, and making a new -6 feed line from the pump to the rail. I haven’t finished gathering up the parts yet, but I also intend to throw in a flex fuel sensor while I’m at it. Sticking with my same ID1k injectors but gonna raise the fuel pressure to hopefully get close to 500whp on E85.
