i installed this exact pump in my 06 and it fit perfectly fine in my factory sending unit. i did have to swap over pieces from the factory pump but had to do zero cutting or any other forms of modifications

On the subject of rewiring the fuel pump, I’ve read and seen firsthand experience of people running the Walbro 255 just fine on stock wiring, but anything more than the 255 you might want to rewire. I did using the Science Of Speed kit for my 06 with Kraftwerks supercharger only because I know I’ll end up wanting more power later on down the road.

I tried multiple types, and each of them failed and I lost fuel pressure. My advice if you have an 06+ is buy a pump that fits using the OEM plastic connector with rubber grommets. I use the Full Blown 340 pump on OEM wiring in a time attack environment with no issues.

alternatively leave the bottom rubber piece off and cut the raised plastic ridges off the bottom of the walbro and you should be good to go
