1052 vs. 1052u
Hey guys-
Well, the source of all my EMS wideband issues with HP Performance all make sense now... they sent me the 1052 instead of the 1052u... Needless to say, the 1052u wideband connector cable I have will not plug into this EMS. There is only 1 open plug on the box, and its much larger than the connector cable for the wideband (part #35-3511-96).
I have already loaded my base tune and everything else is buttoned up and ready to go. I am not going to drive until I get the wideband setup, so I can view the AFR to make sure its safe.
My main question is whether I can fire up the car with the 1052 installed, but no wideband hooked up? I just want to make sure everything else "works" and that it will start... I really dont want to screw anything up if the wideband is used by the EMS for tuning as opposed to strictly data reporting to the driver...
Thanks again, pics to come!
John
