what is the stock psi on the comptech blower?

is it worth having a vafc II if you have the stock comptech blower?

stock psi on comptech is like ~5.5 if I'm not mistaken.

Forget about psi. It's the amount of air you are getting (not the pressure it exerts) and the amount of fuel you are injecting.

If you have anything other than a stock Comptech kit I suggest you get it tuned. To do this you're going to need some tuning device. I'd suggest AEM EMS and if you can't run to that, E-manage with injector harness. 440cc injectors should do the trick.
Why does everyone suggest larger injectors? That's where the problems come in.

You are much better of tuning with as low of an FMU as possible and stock injectors.

Emanage and a 4:1 fmu is fine on my vortech kit. And it's not even close to maxed out. I wouldn't be suprised if someone could get away with a standard s/c kit, no other mods (header, exhaust etc), and an emanage without an FMU and still keep the stock injectors.

To get any benifit from the larger injectors, you cannot do the calibrations in the emanage injector calibration screen, rather you need to subtract fuel accordingly in every single emanage box using the vafc program. Tapering to zero. Then add the extra fuel in the extra injection boxes.

Not that it is impossible, but why? I think it's easier to add fuel, and boost pressure a little bit. If fuel delivery reaches 100% in the extra injection sequence, and you are running lean, then upgrade to the 440's.

Just my opinion

The thread title is 'a 3.5 pulley'. Do you really think you can run a 3.5" pulley and not either max out stock injectors or overload them with pressure?

I had 3.4inch pulley and belt wasn't slipping.
Didn't have the boost gauge at that time but I was making 341hp.
Even with tweak on the FMU pressure stock injector could not pump enough fuel after VTEC and was running towards leaner side.

I had custom FMIC similar to yours but that was more than 2years ago.
I had the pulley downsized to 3.0inch but that was just too much and with belt slip combined with untuned state with 440cc injectors, I was only able to achieve 344hp on Mustang dyno (probably close to 360 on dynojet)

Improvement on midrange was significant and traction was an obvious issue even with 255 size rear tires.

Have fun!
