3 inch exhaust with no muffler

Just thought I'd bump this thread to point out how 90% of the people in this thread HAVE NO CLUE what they're talking about and left bad info on our forum.
I've personally ran with NO pipe and NO muffler in my turbo car, it's not that loud really, though pretty loud for street usage.
The turbo makes it MUCH quieter, the people on this thread are obviously unaware of that key fact, having a turbo is like having a muffler to start with.
I'll be running a short downpipe from the turbo down but I may or may not run exhaust at all, I'm still debating. Turbocars will always make more power without an exhaust attached or as short and large diameter as possible.

My talon sounded like a tractor. Ostensibly an uppipe is slightly less obnoxious.

An open dump sounds ghetto inmop. Sounds like a poor kids 4 banger without a muffler and one bad cylinder. I'd do what was suggested above and weld in a muffler under the car mid way somewhere, if you’re worried about the diffuser.

Im running 3 inch pipe turbo back, no muffler, resonators, etc. Sounds amazing. Isn't unbearable. Drone on the highway is a little loud. Open DP was a little too loud for me, especially since the DP was coming right off the trans housing. Can't hear shit with that.

3" out the fender with muffler! Weeee. I still can have conversations at 75mph at regular volume levels, I do have to turn the radio up a little more to hear it.

Dude,
What are you smoking??? I want some.
I can't believe you would make that statement.
The difference between open gate ( or even open downpipe) and a ghetto rig w/ a rotted exhaust is unreal.
You sound like my GF, who thinks any car that actually makes noise is "broken"
Open wg dump is one of my favorite sounds on this planet. Hook me up w/ a bag.
