Default 60-63mm no cat VS. 70mm exhaust w/ high flow cat?

I'm deciding on using a:

1. Mugen exhaust 60.5mm which splits into two 49.5 without using a cat

OR

2. T1R 70mm Dual Exhaust 70mm which splits into two 63mm with high flow cat

i want to know which is a better choice, and which will make more horsepower. of course 70mm with no cat will produce more power, but is too loud without a cat with the 70mm.

if anyone have experienced this, please let me know which is a better route to go with. thank you!

I think the choice is obvious. Mugen exhaust makes as much sense as someone putting a fork into your eyeball and charging you a couple grand to do it.

i know what you mean

but all i want to know is if 60mm with no cat will make more power or 70mm with highflow cat will make more power.

anyone have a logical answer to this? or have tried this?

bigger the exhaust the better.....well for turbo at least...remember the best exhaust is no exhaust (open DP)

but, where the cat would be install a resanator instead....not that hard.....

if you have ANY problems with a loud exhaust, you wont want a test pipe setup. not only do you get bigger piping with the 70mm, but you dont get all the downsides of a test pipe (smell, black soot on bumper, attention from cops, illegality, buzzy exhaust sound) - to me the choice is clear

i got u, i had the 60 with test pipe, it wasn't loud at all, and now i went to 70mm w/ test pipe, is very loud, but i got the 70mm for a reason, is to make more power then 60mm.

so if i put cat on 70mm and still make more power over 60mm w/test pipe, then i'll go that route for sure. but after hearing what you said, i think i know what i'm gonna do. thanks for the advice =)
