Is a 70mm to dual 63mm exhaust really that restrictive for SC 10psi?

I have a SOS SC kit with the Novi 1200. The car was recently tuned with a Berk 3" exhaust using E85 with 10psi boost.

The Berk is just to damn loud. I'd like to go back to a Skunk2 Megapower exhaust I have since it's quieter and frankly sounds better.

The Skunk2 is 70mm from the headers (and test pipe) to the split to the dual mufflers. Then it is 63mm. The mufflers are straight through.

Obviously, two (2) 63mm pipes flow far, far more air than one 70mm pipe, but I do realize it has bends in them. Mandrel bends at least.

Considering this, do you think the 70mm -> (2) 63mm pipes are more restrictive than a single 70mm? If so, is it really that big of a difference? I don't really mind a slight loss of power if it is more restrictive, but I don't want to "harm" anything. I also have aftermarket headers.

The dual would have more flow potential in theory, but be more turbulent. I would be surprised to noticeable any appreciable difference in your power or much in way of the fuel tune. But as always with any changes, its always good to monitor your afr's for confirmation. Being boosted I assume you do have a wideband gauge or data logging you can access easily.

I don't think it will be of concern. Switch it and monitor your afr's, should have a very minimal effect. I have a feeling your berk will still flow more air since the smallest section of the piping is 3" whereas the skunk2 is 2.75". My challenge 76 single is loud too. Now that i've had it for a while (and getting older) i want something quieter too

I find it hard to believe Skunk2 would be quieter? But if you tried it then sure :)

I made 8xxhp through a 70mm single exit exhaust. I wouldnt be worried about it at 10psi
