Adequate fuel system for 600whp?
Wanted to get your guys opinion on what I was thinking  . Goal is 600whp stock long block on E85. Ill start by saying some idiot/previous owner cut the rubber fuel feed line between my stock feed line and fuel rail. It was then rigged backed together with some worm clamps lol? :censored: :banghead: I dont trust it. It needs to be replaced which is why im considering using the Full Blown Motorsports stock fuel line -6 fitting then just running -6 line there after and thenback to the stock hard return line. Also up in the air on a fuel pump. From what i gather I feel the 340 may fall short. All input is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advanced guys :tipwink:
Fuel: E85 ID2000's -6an fuel line Full Blown -6 for stock feed line Full Blown fuel rail Full Blown fuel pressure regulator Full Blown 340 fuel pump? Walbro 400 E85 fuel pump? http://i532.photobucket.com/albums/e...ps602b558f.png |
I was told the walbro 416 and new ID1300 would get me there and I would give up some power going with the id2000 to make it idle n drive normal. In for advice also :)

Wow you squeezed a lot out of that pump. All I could get out of a 340 was 580hp. |

Id 2000s walbro 416 Stock fuel lines Fuel pressure regulator of your choice Good to go :drive: I'm running th ID1300 and it is a night and day difference in idle, cruise and partial acceleration and deceleration. Noticeable drop in cabin drone with the ID1300. Plan is to increase fuel rail pressure so that the ID1300 can flow for 600whp. Just need to get a set of pumps to flow enough at high fuel rail pressures. Don't think I'll go back to the 2000cc injectors and would rather stay under 500whp if need be for daily driving. |
^ that's what my tuner told me. Said run the 1300 vs the 2000 for around 600whp goal. I don't plan on using a fuel pressure regulator tho. Just OEM....hope its enough

I have FIC2000's in my evo and the duty cycle at idle is 0% lol. And I'm still not even close to fully using them at Wot. I think a smaller injector would be ok

Some good input! Hmmm. Maybe I should just replace that rubber feed line and keep things simplistic.
AEM Fuel pressure regulator on the stock rail? Then tap the rail for a fuel pressure gauge? :D :ponder: http://www.aemelectronics.com/fuel-p...-2000-2003-333 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Fuel-Pressur...5d917d&vxp=mtr |
I made 640whp+ on a FB340 with KB BAP and ID2000s. They def don't idle anywhere near as nicely as the 1000s or my original ID1300 which were defective as they swelled and reduced flow.

I don't get why everyone complains about the idle of 2000s. Yes it lopes a bit at idle. but I can hardly tell the difference once the car is moving. My car is run on the street only an I have zero problems. (662hp) Just wondering why people are so against them. :stick:
|
yea, i'm on FID 2000's and they idle perfect to me. i cant speak for any other brand but i would for sure reccommend FID 2000's for 600+ hp

My car idled great on ID2000s? Took about 30 mins tuning it in, but once it was done it was perfect.
Like stated 2000s, walbro 400, adj fpr, possibly a fuel rail, call it a day. I love my ID2000s, never have to buy another injector ever again. |
I made 650 with a 255 and ID1000s :)

I purchased a fb dual hanger, 2000cc, -8an feed/-6an return, in-line filter, weldon afpr & aem rail all for a decent price as a package deal. Now..... after I made the purchase, I came across on another good deal on a Kenne Bell boost-a-pump (single pump unit NOT the dual pump one unfortunately) it has me thinking on my options....should I upgrade my current 320 pump for a 450 and utilize the kb BAP or upgrade to the dual hanger my current setup is 1000cc, stock lines, rail & 320 pump. I’m aiming for 675-700 on e85. Can a single 450 with the BAP, 2000cc injectors, 8/6an lines, weldon afpr& aem rail support my goals or stick to the dual hanger |

There is a 17v and 21v version of the BAP |
RC and ID have calculators on there websites: https://www.rcfuelinjection.com/Technical and Fuel Flow Calculator - Injector Dynamics
