Default AEM V2 Install question

When installing the AEM V2 did you have to leave the stock box in place. I was wondering how every hid all those wires. I have mine plugged into the stock ecu and a jumper harness that goes from the stock ecu to the aem v2. The wire is very thick and I am not sure how to hid it and put the stock pieces back in.

This. You'll also need to figure out a way to mount it, as it doesn't have mounting tabs like the stock ecu. I used a 5" bracket and just wedged it against my AEM and bolted it to one of the stock mounting locations. It holds it just fine and cost me $3 at Lowe's. You can buy the mounting bracket on ebay for like $45 or so, if you're feeling fancy.

Pay $1400 for an EMS and it doesn't even come with a mounting bracket...

Well here is the weird thing. The shop (stupid shop) plugged the jumper cable into the factory ecu, then the factory harness, then it goes to the aem. Its long so its routed under the carpet to behind the seat; so location of where it is fine. I just want to remove the ecu so I can tuck the wiring harness and put the panel back on since they f'ed it all up, again (stupid shop).

If this is an 06+ ECU, then you aren't replacing the stock ECU. It plugs into the stock ecu (hence the giant PnP harness it came with).
