I had a weekend in 110deg heat had my stock radiator was 2/3 to 3/4 to max.
SOS said yes thats a normal with stock rad.
How are your fans running? like your combo but need to find a good price
Who did you get your fans from?? and $$$

When I looked up the 11 and 13 fan they were 15-20 amps not what you listed before

A quote of a post of mine from another thread on the topic:

They only require a 20 amp fuse each, which is what the stock fan circuits have, so I just used the stock wiring instead of wiring in new relays. I sacrificed my old fan's wiring plugs and snipped them off, and snipped the Spal fan connectors off and hard wired the OEM connectors to the Spal fans.

I also took the time and aggravation to make little mounting brackets for the fans to connect them to the stock mounting points (sort of). It was a bit of extra work, and they are securely mounted, but I'm so-so about them. I much prefer the look of the Mishimoto fan shroud with the 2x 12" fans, and looking back I would probably just get that instead.

The reason I started investigating that 13/11 fan setup in the first place was for clearance around by BOV. With them installed, it turns out I had plenty of clearance, more than I expected to have. I believe the Mishimoto fan shroud would fit fine with my BOV setup. J may change up to that in the future.

As far as cooling goes, my current setup works extremely well. I've got the Mishimoto radiator, 11"/13" medium Spal fans, Mishimoto fan switch, and Mishimoto thermostat. Under "normal" driving which I would classify as no VTEC just puttering along to work, my AP1 will only ever see two bars (three bars is normal operating temp) so its actually staying cooler than normal. With spirited driving it will get up to three bars. On hot days in traffic, it will get up to three bars, but never have I seen anything higher. I've seen it drop from three to two before as well, like if I'm sitting at a red light then get back up to speed. The system is very efficient. If/when the fans do cut on (which they rarely do) they are only on for about 5-7 seconds then cut back off. I really only hear them cycle if I'm sitting in grid on a hot autox day with the car running, or in the parking lot at work about to get out of my car. Or of course if the AC is on.

Anyway, like I said, if I had to do it again I would probably go with a nice packaged shroud/fan kit to keep from having to mess with mounting.

Ordered the mishimoto Kit, Radiator, two 12" fans and shroud and their Temp switch

Hopefully the wiring will be easy, no one of my strong subjects :-(

$475 shipped from THMotor..... Unfortunately they are back ordered until end of the month, 2 weeks I can wait.

Prob should have just gotten Spal fans from the start. I have the mishimoto dual fans right now as well and they work good unless it's 105 outside and u are trying to blast the ac.... then it starts to fall behind.
