I ran no restrictor when my turbo was new and would smoke really bad at stop lights. I installed the restrictor and the smoking stopped. It ran that way for 2 or 3 years but it starting smoking last year. I don't think that's the problem, but I will ask the rebuild shop.

I cant remember how long ago it was but turbosmart iirc was proto typing an adjustable oil pressure feed "thinga-ma-jig" lol. Could find it useful (instead of messing around trying to find that "perfect" restrictor for a center housing.

Where is the source of your feed line?

Also make sure your drain line and fitting is positioned/angled properly for efficient draining. Ive seen some setups where the line is vertical but the fitting has a segment where its parallel to the ground causing oil to backup and vice versa.
